My perfect romantic weekend would take place in Anchorage, Ak. There's nothing more romantic than the breathtaking scenery that Alaska provides? If it were all up to me, I'd plan it so that one day would be full of romance and the other full of adventure! We'd stay at a small rustic cabin just outside of Anchorage, so that we'd get the benefit of both rural and city. For the day of romance, we'd sleep in late, and wake up in front of a rustic fireplace in our beautiful cabin, just to see a mother moose and her calf outside the cabin window. We'd then make our way into the city of Anchorage for a wonderful romantic meal at the restaurant ""Ginger"". We'd then finish our day walking around downtown Anchorage. Knowing me, I'd probably end up with a few ivory tusk carvings carved by the natives of Alaska, and knowing my husband, he'll probably end up showing off his adventurous side by eating a few reindeer sausages from one of the many street vendors. For the day of adventure, we'd get up early so that we could fit all the adventure we can into one day. We'd start off with a ATV ride across the rugged terrain. Then we'd find ourselves whitewater rafting. We'd finish off the day by fishing in one of the many rivers full of wild Alaskan salmon. After our gorgeous romantic weekend in Anchorage, AK, I'm sure we'd be bragging about it to our friends for years to come. |
